Unique Entity ID (UEI)

The 12-character ID that identifies your business to the government.

The Unique Entity ID (UEI) is a 12-character alphanumeric identifier assigned in SAM.gov. It replaced the DUNS number in 2022. You need an active UEI to register your entity, receive contracts, and get paid. It's free to obtain through SAM.gov.
