Sole-Source Contract

A contract awarded without full competition.

A sole-source contract is awarded to a single vendor without competing it openly, when justified - for example, under certain 8(a) thresholds or when only one source can meet the need. Sole-source awards must be documented and are subject to dollar thresholds and oversight.
