Answer
How do I register my business in SAM.gov?
Create a Login.gov account, get a Unique Entity ID, then complete the free entity registration in SAM.gov - including your business details, NAICS codes, and representations & certifications.
SAM.gov registration is free - you never have to pay a third party. Before you start, gather your EIN, business bank account details (for electronic payment), and a list of your NAICS codes.
Create a Login.gov account (SAM.gov authenticates through it), then request your Unique Entity ID (UEI). Complete the entity registration: business information, points of contact, financial details, and the FAR/DFARS representations and certifications.
Your registration must show 'Active' before you can be awarded a contract, and it must be renewed every 12 months. Allow extra time - entity validation and CAGE code assignment can take days to weeks.
